SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

CirquesExperience strives to make classes accessible to all. CE’s scholarship program offers a youth class tuition discount, an after-school program tuition discount, and help with the fees for summer camp from the second child onwards to students who demonstrate financial need or have financial circumstances that make participating in CE’s program challenging.

Financial Aid is only available for children up to 15 years old. Financial help for summer camp is available for the second child, and so on. However, the source from which we can draw funds for financial support or scholarships is limited, as we provide it from our funds and through friends and family.

The information submitted is confidential. We will review and return the documents to the customer; copies will not be made or retained.

Eligibility for financial assistance does not guarantee a slot in the programs, and it cannot be combined with other discount or voucher programs.
Customers are asked to present ONE of the following in-person to demonstrate financial need:

State of Illinois – Healthcare and Family Services Medical Card (not any other medical or insurance card). The enrolled child must be listed as a covered person, and the paying customer must be listed as a Case Name.

Proof of income that shows the household falls below the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services-determined Federal Poverty Guideline by providing one of two options:

Check stubs from the last 30 days to determine the net monthly income for the paying customer; the customer must be the parent or guardian of the child being enrolled.
OR -
The previous Year’s IRS form (1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ) and corresponding W2 for the paying customer must be the parent or guardian of the enrolled child.

​Scholarship Selection Criteria and Expectations
Students will be selected for scholarships based on financial need, the student’s written statement, course availability, and the availability of funds. Students returning to the scholarship program will also be evaluated on fulfilling the volunteer requirement, class attendance, and personal conduct while receiving CE funds. We expect all scholarship recipients to conduct themselves in a way that is under CE’s values and Supportive of our organization, fellow students, and our community.
4. If they are accepted into the scholarship program, all scholarship applicants will be notified via email as soon as possible after the application submission deadline. Any questions may be directed to chistian@cirquesexpeience.org.
